Raider 16 is the brainchild of Meowee. This freak designer from Freak and Elegance clothing used to dream of putting all the Japanese Mythical Heroes he loved when he was a kid into t-shirts one day. For your information, he has always been a t-shirt freak too since long ago!

Here, he presents you this new force in Japanese Mythical Heroes lineup, Raider X, oopps, Raider 16. This contemporary super hero would help old folks cross the busy road but would also help kids cheat in their exams. This is yet another form of spirit which is an angelic devil at times, but turns into a devilish angel at times.

I have found that some of the t-shirt artworks by Meowee are damn funny, especially when I see the hole showing number 16 in the forehead of this Raider 16 like he is telling the citizens that that is his identity,”I’m your new raider 16 from Japanese Mythical Heroes team when superman go oversea on vacation”.

Just like all other Freak & Elegance clothing, this t-shirt is designed based on the instinct and inspiration. Great arts are always produced from the great sense of the great artists. Anyway this time the instinct lies in the rebellion of the designer Meowee. We have seen plenty of nice artworks by him in Freak & Elegance already. He has tuned himself perfectly into the concept and soul of FE and is now..trying to rebel!

He has given a tweak in his typical style in design. The white splashes effect and the silhouette in it will be hard to achieve if we are to print this on t-shirts. The face of the queen is painted in Freak & Elegance identity color - magenta. With the embellishment of the small dots which are again typically FE, the great piece of artwork is a perfect freak.

This is an all-over design t-shirt by Freak & Elegance clothing. De Construction also known as decomposition in English word. There are solid things in this world which are hard to dissembled as there are ideas in an artist’s head which are so sophisticated in the developmental stage.

De Construction is a concept where you dissemble a complicated object so you can see the original units that make up the whole thing. An artist meditate and perceive the dissemble version of the original ideas, then works his way to reconstruct the pieces back to make a better idea.

When all the old elements have transformed themselves after the rebuilding process, the new object formed is judged in a brand new perception - The world has just been rebuilt.

Dori & Isasa is a t-shirt design that has not been released. We have a sneak preview here. Freak & Elegance clothing might only release it on a whim in 2009.

The mass sees Dori & Isasa as Japanese-style illustration, but the t-shirt design is in fact more of European-style. These two styles are kind of close anyway. In the graphic, the use of bright red blended in little orange on the background, strongly contrast with the character Dori and Isasa holding on a balance point. It again reflects Freak & Elegance concept well.

This is one of the very first Freak & Elegance clothing. If you have already read about the page Angelic Devil & Devilish Angel, and The Story of Fecielo, you would have grasped the concept and soul of FE t-shirts. 7 Goldfish & Jasmine has so successfully reflected the theme.

The fusion of the 7 goldfish and a jasmine flower implies the fusion of western mystery and oriental gracefulness. These are the 2 opposite elements inside the t-shirt design. In most western countries the number “7″ is believed to be the number of mystery. This is also the reason why you see the mysterious number “7″ beside the world peace label at the back of all FE t-shirts. The use of real graphical jasmine as background not only gives sense of leisure but at the same time form the striking contrast in the color! It has simple design, intense tone.
