This t-shirt that Freak & Elegance takes pride in was designed based on the story written as the innuendo of the world’s disorder. We are not going to talk about the New World Order conspiracy because we love peace and cool t-shirts only.
Oh! The story mentioned is the one I kind of love so much. It is entitled Angelic Devil & Devilish Angel a.k.a ADDA. As you know, there has always been a meaning attached to all the t-shirts Freak & Elegance ever produced. Now you have a story behind the piece of cloth.
To ingeniously present the idea of two extreme points meshing with each other, Freak & Elegance designer Robert Choon first stroke two distinct lines to separate the two things he was going to put into. To think out of the box he wants something fresh and unconventional in the t-shirt design.
He has his desperate, bulging-stomach angel putting his head down in despair. There is a devil standing in the opposite side, looking up into the sky for..oracle I supposed? I’m leaving you rooms for imagination. I think that it should be looking for hope from the almighty. I’m actually yapping away on my personal opinion.
The concept here is simple. Do not always judge things in this reality world using your naked eyes. In some places or circle of life, angel isn’t angel at times. Same applied to Devil. Devil may cry too.
I personally think that this t-shirt is kind of similar to Dori & Isasa in the way the characters are presented but the two designs are totally different in the style and taste and meaning. As the world’s no.1 t-shirt lover I really love the way Freak & Elegance designers put what is beyond ordinary people’s imagination into t-shirts that rock.
